An Inadequate Thank You!By Trillia Newbell | August 20th, 2012 | Category: Uncategorized | Comments Off on An Inadequate Thank You!
Thank you friends, family, and even sweet strangers who have sent me emails, texts, meals, flowers, cards, Scripture and oh so much more during a very difficult time. The care I’ve received is incredible. The love that I have felt will never be forgotten.
What has most affected me is the way that my sisters and mother have been impacted by the generosity and love of so many. Even more, my niece, who lost her mother, has been incredibly blessed. I have shown her what you have sent me because it is just as much for her as it is for me.
At one point I thought to myself, “there must be a competition to see who can love and care for us the most.” The response of my church family and friends reminded me of this Scripture:
“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality” (Rom 12:10-13 ESV)
Thank you for your many prayers and support. Thank you for your love and care for my family. Thank you for tripping over yourself to “contribute to the needs of the saints.” God has sustained my family. We are thankful.
